Hello! Thank you for choosing NEXUS for your longevity needs. Every medical procedure has its own risks.
By choosing to live in your new body, there are complications that may occur that you have the right to be aware of. Please familiarize yourself with this document for your own safety.
Please read each of the following carefully:
.1 ) Though the brain will be carefully extracted and implanted into your new, synthetic body, some sensory capabilities will be lost. If you were able to hear, see, and/or feel before the procedure then you will still be capable of such. However, the organic body is an incredibly complex machine that we have not been able to replicate entirely. It is to be expected that your experiences will not be exactly the same in your new body. We are currently working towards total sensory preservation for future transfers. Current patients will have the opportunity to apply for sensory-restoration procedures in the future. If you have lost up to 80% of your total sensory capabilities, these procedures may not benefit you.
.2 ) Your synthetic body will have limits just like an organic body. Your body will support 14 hours of operation in a typical day. It is important to keep a regular sleep schedule and see your primary care provider often. Certain battery upgrades and cooling systems will be available for those who desire more than 14 hours of operational time. After 12 hours, your body will enter LOW-POWER MODE. Please use your time in low-power mode to return to your home charging station and rest. If it is not possible to reach your charging station, contact emergency services for help. Once low-power mode has been activated, it is crucial that you DO NOT perform any resource-heavy activities such as but not limited to lifting heavy objects, operating heavy machinery, running long distances, streaming videos on your own system, and playing video games on your own system. Doing so will cause your body to overheat. This will also cause the life-preserving systems that keep your organic brain healthy to overheat. For your own safety, your body is programmed to automatically enter sleep-mode before these events can occur. Emergency services will be contacted on your behalf if an automatic shut down is detected. Your brain's life-preserving systems have a back-up battery that will provide up to 4 hours of extra power, though this power will only be used for life support. If you choose to modify your body to remove these safety precautions, you are doing so at your own risk.
.3 ) During the transferring procedure, the brain may go into shock once moved to its new environment. Some side effects include memory loss, inability to communicate properly with your body's systems, ego death, confusion, and/or emotional distress. We understand that this can be a traumatic and difficult event for you and your loved ones should any of these side effects occur. Your body has a built-in memory preservation system to store important memories. These were provided to NEXUS by you and your loved ones before the transferring procedure. You can update or delete these memories once your memory bank has been unlocked. To unlock your memory bank, you must complete 1 full year of physical therapy for the first year spent in your new body. It is important to remember this memory bank is not a replacement for your brain's memory. Deleting information from the memory bank will not delete your actual memories, and reading your memory bank's information may or may not help restore the original lost memories.
.4 ) While we at NEXUS believe in the creative spirit and the right that every human has to modify their body as they wish, certain modifications will trigger an emergency response. This includes adding weapons or harmful equipment to your system. Weaponizing your body also goes against the terms of your initial transfer agreement. You may face fines up to 1.5M or a minimum of 20 to 30 years in prison if caught with weapon modifications. We ask that you follow these guidelines to keep yourself and the public safe.
